On the 14th November, 96 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles were delivered to the United States Airforce at Greenham. In December, 50,000 women brought mirrors to 'Reflect on Cruise'. This demonstration was the last I went to. In the following winter, Derby Women for Peace demonstrated against USAF bases across the country, picketed the local nuclear reactor in Derby and organised a rota to go on Cruise Watch at Green Gate, the one to the left of the Main Gate, or Yellow Gate as it ws called. All the gates were given colour names but of Green Gate it was said that it was the one where the women seperated the paper from the plastic... It was a very well run Peace Camp. We slept there in benders made by our permanent 'Grannies for Peace'.
