On my final visit to Greenham Common in the late winter of 1984, I walked around the perimeter fence and recorded what had become of the base. Things had got much harder and they would get worse before the cold war ended and the missiles were moved to somewhere else.

The Peace Camp remained until the millenium and the common was eventually returned to the people.
